About the Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be accountable for 8 warehouses in the Australian region. This includes planning, organising and co-coordinating the achievement of results supporting an operating plan and determining team priorities within a defined scope of work.
The ideal candidate has the ability to blend functional warehouse knowledge with leadership.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the save, clean, orderly and efficient operation of multiple MRO warehouses and related facilities across multiple regions.
- Drive regional warehouse performance through the development of clear KPIs, governance and reporting frameworks.
- Building capability across the team through coaching and upskilling.
- Identifying and delivering cost improvements, efficiency gains and service level improvements.
- Review, improve, implement and standardise operational procedures. Work towards the harmonisation of practices to a model of consistency.
- Support operational teams in reactive as well as proactive maintenance activities including breakdown response, planned routine maintenance, major shutdowns and plant turnarounds. Drive measurable and communicable improvements in service levels
- Working with the Procurement and Inventory team to ensure inventory strategies are aligned with capacity and requirements and support working capital targets.
- Ensure that inventory and cycle counts comply with requirements and physical inventories reconcile with the system.
About You
Essential
- 8+ years in similar role
- Excel and working knowledge of SAP
- High attention to detail and analytical rigour
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to effectively lead a geographically dispersed team
Desirable
- Experience with SAP, Coupa
- Background in mining or industrial environments
