About the Role
Tronox is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager – Production & Mining to lead our Wonnerup mine operation and play a key role in shaping the future of our South West Operations.
Reporting directly to the Site Director for South West Operations, this leadership position is responsible for delivering safe, sustainable, and cost-effective mining and production outcomes while fostering a culture of operational excellence. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across mining and processing functions, ensuring production, financial, safety, environmental, and compliance targets are achieved.
As a key member of the site leadership team, you'll develop and execute annual operational plans aligned with regional and global business priorities, driving continuous improvement and optimising performance across all aspects of the operation. You will be accountable for maintaining compliance with statutory and environmental obligations, managing operational risks, overseeing incident investigations, and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.

We're looking for a results-driven leader with the experience and capability to lead high-performing mining and production operations.
You will bring:

Extensive operational leadership experience within mining, quarrying, processing, or heavy industry

Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships

Strong leadership presence with the ability to be both approachable and decisive

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-
A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving operational excellence

Restricted Quarry Manager's Certificate and/or Site Senior Executive qualifications (highly regarded)

Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements

Ability to analyse operational and financial performance metrics to drive business outcomes

Demonstrated success building trusted, authentic relationships across all levels of an organisation
