About the Role 

Tronox is seeking a Shift Supervisor based at our Atlas Mine near Balranald, NSW, about 1.5 hours east of Mildura on a permanent full-time basis and 7/7 Roster.    

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for executing the production plan for the shift by providing technical advice, guidance, and assistance with respect to all safety, environmental, sustainability and compliance matters to support the Tronox Operations. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Delivers real time results by following the SIC and WMS Standards  

• Makes decisions on schedule-breaking work when the coordinator is not available  

• Liaise with Logistics team as required to ensure out of hours service is maintained  

• Manage incidents, emergency response and investigations within team and participates in significant incident investigations and RCAs  

• Responsible for regulatory statutory compliance  

• Co-ordination and scheduling of team activities including - final selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, safety and grievance procedures  

• Drives the effective and timely turnaround of production equipment during scheduled maintenance  

• Performing tasks to maintain the infrastructure corridor at Atlas 

• Follow set procedures in the event of an emergency. 

About You

We are currently looking for applicants who are competent in the following areas:   

• At least 5 years’ experience in a mine operating role 

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams 

• Demonstrated planning, analytical, report writing and communication skills 

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and positively influence a wide range of stakeholders  

• A strong attitude towards safety, environment, and improvement
