About the Role

Tronox is seeking an experienced Manager, Financial Accounting to lead the financial accounting function across our Australian operations. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the General Ledger and financial controls environment, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely financial reporting while partnering with leaders across the business to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and performance outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing core accounting activities including revenue and cost recognition, accruals and prepayments, reconciliations, month-end close, statutory reporting, and audit coordination. As the primary finance contact for PwC Australia, you will play an important role in maintaining strong governance, compliance and reporting standards.

Working closely with operational and functional leaders, you will monitor financial metrics and KPIs, identify trends and risks, and recommend actions that drive business performance. You will also lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

A key focus of the role is driving efficiency and process excellence through standardisation, harmonisation and automation. You will champion continuous improvement initiatives and support the ongoing adoption of SAP S/4HANA to strengthen financial processes, controls and reporting capabilities across the business.

We offer flexibility in work location, with the opportunity to be based at the South West Operations site that best suits you. Given the spread of stakeholders and team members, regular travel between Bunbury and Kwinana will be required, along with occasional participation in global meetings outside standard business hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys partnering with the business, leading change and delivering operational excellence within a global organisation.

About You

  • CA, CPA or CIMA qualification, with current membership of a recognised professional accounting body.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with an understanding of IFRS and its application within mining, manufacturing or other complex operational environments considered advantageous.
