Location - Tronox Pigment Plant, Mason Road, Kwinana

Employment Type – Permanent day/night shift continuous roster

About the Role

Join the team at Tronox’s Kwinana Pigment Plant as a Process Shift Operator ensuring our plant runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated operator who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to a high-performing production environment.

This position operates on a 12-hour rotating Day/Night Sportsman roster:
2D/2N, 5 days off, 2D/3N, 4 days off, 3D/2N, 5 days off

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant processes and equipment to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain process equipment—such as pumps, valves, and control systems; to minimise downtime and maximise output.
• Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet strict specifications.
• Work proactively with safety protocols, including conducting safety inspections and responding appropriately to incidents or abnormalities.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners, and fellow operators to meet production schedules and optimise plant performance.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of process conditions, production activities, and maintenance tasks.
• Identify and resolve process deviations, equipment issues, or production bottlenecks.
• Support continuous improvement by contributing ideas and participating in process optimisation initiatives.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you bring:

Technical & Mechanical Skills

• Experience operating, monitoring, or maintaining Fixed Plant processing equipment (Essential). Boilers and DCS experience advantageous.
• Practical mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and basic maintenance tasks.

Problem-Solving & Safety Focus

• Strong troubleshooting ability and confidence in resolving operational issues.
• A commitment to safe work practices, with experience using JHAs/ Take 5s, and other safety tools.

Work Ethic & Team Fit

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive team mindset.
• Adaptability when priorities shift, and willingness to work rotating day/night shifts.
• A genuine interest in learning and upskilling as part of your development.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available).
• Live within 45 minutes of Kwinana, due to 12-hour rotating shifts.
