About the Role

Tronox is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician (Boilermaker Welder) to join our North Shore MSP, located just outside the Bunbury CBD. This permanent role offers an attractive 9-day fortnight and 38-hour average work week, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a great work-life balance while building your career with a global industry leader.

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our 24/7 processing operations. You will carry out preventative, corrective, and shutdown maintenance across a diverse range of fixed plant equipment, including fault finding, testing, installation, servicing, and repairs. The role also involves monitoring equipment performance, identifying potential issues before they impact production, and contributing to safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • The highest regard for safe work practices.
  • A Fabrication trade qualification (Boilermaking/Welding)
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a cohesive, multi-trade maintenance team.
  • Previous experience in maintaining a complex fixed plant in accordance with strict engineering and safety standards.
  • A demonstrable passion for continuous improvement would be highly desirable.
